Private Kevin Lynch was nominated by his wife Jennifer, who had the following to say about him: “My husband was in two IED explosions. He spent 6 months in Germany in a coma recuperating. He then came home to Bethesda, Maryland, and then here to VA in Hampton. It’s been years since my husband was forced to get out due to his medical conditions. He’s a 100 percent Disabled Veteran and even though you can’t see his physical scars the mental and emotional ones still remain. I’m so proud of my husband and how far he has come over the years to be the productive, caring, loving husband, father, brother and friend he is. Even if he’s not selected to this, he will always be my superhero.”
