Chief Matthew Warden was nominated by his aunt in law Nichole Hatch, who had the following to say about him: “Matthew is such an amazing guy always there for his family and friends and also so many kids that are not his!! He is always helping out where needed!! Always going the extra mile even though his own kids are not on the team he could be found out in the weather coaching softball for Coastal Crush. Treating every player as if they were his own. He has had so many deployments since he married my niece but no matter how far he is he always makes her feel special while missing important moments! He also treats his stepchildren as if they are his own and don’t even get me started on his own daughter. But he also teaches them all respect and responsibility. He also steps up in his career too even playing Santa this year to make sure all the kids felt all the love when Santa needed some helpers since we all know he can’t be everywhere at once!! He definitely deserves to your FM99 military hero!!”
