Military Hero

Ed was nominated by his friend Cindy. Ed is a retired navy veteran of 20 years. During his service, he served in the Iraqi war and led many tours. He's been retired now for 3 years but continues to serve and help his community by volunteering with "Challenge" a military based program that mentors troubled youth. He works with them by being a great role model, helping with school work, and preparing them for life after the program; he also volunteers at the Salvation Army helping where he's needed...working in the shelter, fixing things, organizing, etc. Ed also takes care of his mother who has different health issues. He's a kind, loving, thoughtful, selfless man and definitely deserves to be recognized
