My husband and I met during a deployment to Iraq in 2008. In 2011, I had the privilege of marrying this wonderful man. He has been in the Army for 10 years now and has also been through a tour in Haiti which he believes was worse than Iraq. He endured constant attempts of locals trying to jump their convoys to steal their supplies. Through these two tours, he has been injured and is now going through the Warrior Tradition Unit for medical retirement. He has given so much and never asks for anything in return. He is truly my hero.
