Staff Sergeant Robert Leon was nominated by his wife Imani, who had the following to say about him: “Staff Sergeant Robert Leon is an extremely devoted, diligent and fearless person who has committed 8 years of his life to serving the country as an Air Force personnel. He comes from a well-rounded military family and is no stranger to the importance of serving. He tirelessly works as a lead trainer to guarantee that every pilot is safe and well equipped to fly and protect our country. He also makes certain that every pilot has working gear as well as a parachute because of how vigilantly he inspects them. He trains every one of his airman with attention, care and respect. He has amazing team spirit and is always supportive and delighted with his coworkers and friends. He is also an amazing friend, teacher, listener, father, husband and son. He is always there to support and encourage you when needed. Anyone who has ever interacted with him or has the pleasure to call him a friend is overjoyed to have him apart of their lives. His wife and 1-year-old son are over the moon to have him as a husband and father and blessed to have him come home every day with a smile on his face and welcoming arms.”
