Ryan was nominated by Brianne Honnoll:
Ryan Honnoll, Hospital Corpsman First Class, is one of the most dedicated individuals I know. I admire the hard work he puts into any duty station, deployment, or any situation in general. He takes care in the future of his Search and Rescue Medical Technician community by putting in blood, sweat, and countless hours into training his peers to provide efficient medical care and to be a competent aircrewman. Last month, he coordinated a search and rescue exercise with Sentara General to get the civilian trauma sector involved with how the military handles medevacs, in hopes of creating proper communication and smooth operations in the event of a real medevac. Not only is he committed to his work, but also his family. He and I have an amazing and funny 6 year old boy, a beautiful rescue pit bull, and lots of love in our home. Ryan is currently deployed (his 3rd deployment in our 6 year marriage) on the USNS Comfort with the helicopter detachment, HSC-22. He communicates with us daily, assures sure we are well taken care of, and goes to great lengths to make us feel we are not alone. He is, by far, the greatest father, loving husband, and a hero in our eyes. I am extremely proud of all of his accomplishments and hard work and we are truly blessed to have him in our lives!
