My husband is a nuclear technician on an aircraft carrier, which is currently in the Norfolk shipyard. He has been working nonstop with his team to get the ship back up and running, and I want to recognize him for all the hard work and dedication he puts into his job, even when it’s incredibly hard. He has been in the Navy for almost 7 years now and is an amazing father to our 1-year-old son, Jack. No matter how long of a day it was for him, he always spends as much time as he can with him and is so sweet and loving to him. I am so proud of my husband for continuing to work hard even when he has been put through brutally long work days, constantly changing schedules, and doesn’t get as much time at home as he wants. He’s been through a lot in his time in the Navy, from deployment to back-to-back underways, and sacrificed an easier command so our family could stay in the states. He really is not only a military hero, but a heroic husband and father, and we can’t thank him enough for all he does for his family.
