Samantha is one of the most determined individuals I know. She struggles to overcome the obstacles in her life and yet manages to juggle work, her 4-1/2 year old son, being a volunteer EMT in Hampton VA and serve in the Navy Reserves like it’s nothing at all. She strives for perfection each and every day to continually better herself and set the example for her junior members in her unit. Not a day goes by that she isn’t involved in one of their lives. Working with them, trying to help them become better sailors and people. She shows so much pride and professionalism in whatever she does and it makes me extremely proud to know that she is a part of our U.S. military.
