Tonya Koenig, Coast Guard

Tonya was nominated by her wife Britanny who wrote: My wife, Tonya, is my personal military hero. She is currently serving as the Assistant Cryptologic Resource Coordinator for the Atlantic area and has faithfully served her country for over 18 years. As an Intelligence Specialist Chief Petty Officer, she is a subject matter expert and continuously passes on her knowledge to junior sailors to strengthen the future Coast Guard. She is a devoted wife, daughter, friend, (beagle) mom, always putting others before herself. She is more than deserving of this nomination of military hero for her selfless dedication to her family, friends, and country.
