William Boice, US Navy

My husband William (Bear) Boice is my hero. He is a dedicated sailor, husband, and soon to be father of our first born who will be here on jan 6th. William is a third class petty officer in the logistics specialists rate of the navy with much experiance in the riverine community. He hold 2 warfare pins, an expeditionary pin and his Seabee pin, both of which take a lot of hard work to obtain and is a good indicator of his commitment and love of his work. My husband often spends most of his time helping his fellow sailors obtain their expeditionary pins aswell as working with the GMs in his command, teaching and certifying enlisted as well as officer personnel in firearms training. William has been deployed twice in his 5 year career. Once to Afghanistan and the second time to Spain for which he has been home almost a year now. In his short time home he has been selected by his command for junior sailor of the quarter recognition and is a strong candidate for sailor of the year for his outstanding performance and dedication to his job and country. No matter how much time he spends at work and helping his piers, William always finds the time to be the most wonderful husband to me. That along with many other reasons is why my husband, William Boice is truly my hero, not just for the week but for my life.
