My dad is retire now, here is a timeline of his life in the US Air Force.

June 1967 – entered USAF pilot training at Laredo AFB, TX where I flew the T-41 propeller aircraft and T-37 & T-38 jet aircraft.

June 1968 – graduated from USAF pilot training.

June 1968 – reported to Davis Monthan AFB, AZ for F-4C Jet Fighter Training.

June 1969 – graduated from F-4C Jet Fighter Training.

June 1969 – reported to Seymour Johnson AFB, NC as an F-4D Jet Fighter Pilot.

December 1969 – deployed to Kunsan AB, South Korea as an F-4D Jet Fighter Pilot due to the capture of the USAF Navy
Intelligence ship Pueblo by North Korea.

June 1970 – left Kunsan AB, South Korea to return to Seymour Johnson AFB, NC to fly the F-4D Phantom.

December 1970 – reported to Phu Kat AB, South Vietnam as an F-4D Jet Fighter Pilot. I flew low level missions in
support of US and South Vietnam forces in South and North Vietnam.

October 1971 reported to Korat AB, Thailand as an F-4E Jet Fighter Pilot flying nightly missions into North Vietnam –
mainly Hanoi and Bat Lake, North Vietnam.

January 1972 – reported to Williams AFB, AZ as a T-37 Jet Instructor Pilot.

October 1976 – reported to Sembach AB, Germany as a Tactical Air Defense Officer.

October 1979 – reported to Langley AFB, Virginia to be an F-15 Jet Fighter Pilot.

October 1979 – reported to Luke AFB, AZ for F-15 Jet Aircraft training.

June 1980 – graduated from F-15 Jet Aircraft training and reported to Langley AFB, Virginia as a qualified F-15 Jet Fighter
Pilot.

June 1988 – the USAF cancelled my retirement because I was an F-15 Jet Fighter Pilot who would be needed for the pending
Gulf War. I remained as an F-15 Fighter Pilot until June 30, 1991 when I was allowed to retire.

June 30, 1991 – retired from the Air Force as a Major after 24 years of service.
