Lovewine attended Western Branch High School and graduated in 2017. Today, Lovewine uses skills and values similar to those learned in Chesapeake.

“The life lessons I have carried over to my naval career from my hometown are positivity and strong character when facing criticism,” said Lovewine. “I always attempt to be as approachable as possible, making myself available to help others. I also think it is important not to let negative people bring you down.”

These lessons continue to help Lovewine while serving in the military.

For the last 55 years, DINFOS has trained communicators across the Department of Defense to help their organizations achieve strategic and operational goals through applied public affairs strategies and visual information products. Courses offered by DINFOS include Digital Multimedia, Joint Contingency Public Affairs, Broadcast Journalism, Graphic Design and more.

Serving in the Navy means Lovewine is part of a team that is taking on new importance in America’s focus on rebuilding military readiness, strengthening alliances and reforming business practices in support of the National Defense Strategy.

“We are the strongest Navy in the world,” said Lovewine. “We are a major deterrent for any aggressors who think about threatening our nation.”

With more than 90 percent of all trade traveling by sea, and 95 percent of the world’s international phone and internet traffic carried through fiber optic cables lying on the ocean floor, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity and security of the United States is directly linked to a strong and ready Navy.

Lovewine and the sailors they serve with have many opportunities to achieve accomplishments during their military service.

“I am most proud of when I was honored to be selected as phase one overlord which is a leadership position at our Navy detachment at Fort Meade,” said Lovewine. “This is the first time I have led more than 20 people to their best. The trust embedded in me gives me the confidence that I am capable and have a bright future in the Navy.”

As Lovewine and other sailors continue to train and perform the missions they are tasked with, they take pride in serving their country in the United States Navy.

“Serving in the Navy means that I am part of that one percent who are willing to serve their country and that makes me proud,” added Lovewine.
