Virginia Beach native stands watch aboard USS Hopper

PHILIPPINE SEA (Dec. 16, 2023) – Operations Specialist 2nd Class Justin Joyner, from Virginia Beach, Virginia, monitors for any surface contacts during watchstanding in the combat information center as the Arleigh Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Hopper (DDG 70) conducts routine underway operations. Hopper is forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
