Check out Led Zeppelin’s Sugar Mama

This recording dates back to the first Led Zeppelin recording sessions in 1968. The song at time seems more like a rhythm exercise than an actual song and sounds different than what we would become familiar with on Led Zeppelin I. However you can hear the potential, Bonham’s drumming (those fills), Page’s guitar riff magic.

This song has been on the bootleg circuit for years but finally a clean recording is now available and comes out on the Coda reissue on July 31 along with the Presence and In Through the Out Door Albums.
