1956: John Lennon meets Paul McCartney at a church dinner in Liverpool. Lennon invites McCartney to join his band, the Quarrymen.

1967: Peter Green leaves John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers to form Fleetwood Mac. He hires Mick Fleetwood who’s also in the Bluebreakers, but it takes John McVie four months to leave that band to join the one named after him.

1992: Bruce Springsteen kicked off his first tour without the E Street Band at show in Sweden.

1999: After a seven-year recording hiatus, Santana release the album Supernatural, which becomes the band’s first number 1 in 28 years.
