1948: Todd Rundgren is born – Not only did he have a number of hits in the in the ’70s, but he is also one of the most celebrated producers working with Meat Loaf and Grand Funk.

1968: The Jeff Beck Group, with Rod Stewart as lead singer, plays their first show in the states.

1990: Billy Joel becomes the first Rock artist to perform at Yankee Stadium.

1992: This is an odd pairing.  At a concert, Tom Jones was joined on stage by Pink Floyd’s, David Gilmour.

1996:  Metallica’s “Load” debuts at #1 on the Album chart.

2008: How cool is this! For his 60th birthday, Todd Rundgren hosts Toddstock, a gathering of fans at his home in Hawaii.
