Military Hero

Robert was nominated by Victoria Burton: My dad is the kinda man who puts everyone before himself he would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it. Even though he was an E5 he was doing E6 and highers job. He was injured in Iraq in 2006 came home after being blown up 3 times and until 2009 he stayed in the army as a WTU (wounded warrior transition unit ) and then was medical retired. We were stationed in Germany when he was sent to lonstol hospital in bad shape. He was told he would never walk but he did, then told he would never walk with out a cane but he now walks with out the need of a cane, he surpassed all expectations and even now you would never know he was hurt because he doesn't let it slow him down. He has riding with R2R on a bike for miles at a time. My dad still exceeds all expectation and is one of the best dad's in the world. He still says if the army would let him.back in he would get back in and serve his country because it didn't kill him and he is still capable of serving. He is my biggest hero in my life.
