Military Hero

Military Hero
Chris was nominated by his friend, Melissa: Chris is an amazing, inspiring person who has overcome a great amount to get where he is today. He joined the Navy 3 years ago. In Feb. 2011, he was diagnosed with Cushing Disease and had to undergo a very invasive surgery to remove the tumor on his pituitary gland. Within months of the surgery he was up and training. He competed in the 2012 Warrior Games, and completed Race Across America last summer where he cycled from California to Maryland on a 4 man team in 8 days! He is now training at the Little Creek Base, and he is on his way to achieving his goal. He will do anything to serve his country in the highest level he can.
