1976 – This may or may not be true but it’s definitely part of rock legend. Keith Moon of The Who allegedly pays nine New York City cab drivers $100 each to block both ends of a street so he can throw furniture out of his room at the Hotel Navarro.

1977 – In Pontiac, Michigan, Led Zeppelin played a show to an audience of over 76 thousand. The event set a new record for attendance at a single-act concert.

1988 – Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” fell out of the Billboard 200 chart for the first time in 725 weeks.  However, not to worry, the band is still on the chart though, with A Momentary Lapse Of Reason at #62.

2002 – The Who’s Roger Daltrey makes an appearance as a music teacher on an episode of That ’70s Show

2016 – A life-sized bronze statue of AC/DC Bon Scott (AC/DC) was unveiled in Scotland during the 10th anniversary of the Bonfest music festival.
