1950 – Lou Gramm, Foreigner’s original lead singer, is born Louis Andrew Grammatico in Rochester, New York.

1972 – Bruce Springsteen auditions for Columbia Records. The initial session was planned to last 15-minutes and ended up running 2 hours. He signs with the label five weeks later.

1979 – The Who play their first concert following the death of drummer Keith Moon at the Rainbow Theatre in London. Their new drummer is Kenney Jones, who played with Faces.

1991 – Nirvana hit the studio to begin recording what would become Nevermind.

2005 – Cream reunites for the first of four shows in London’s Royal Albert Hall, the exact same site of their farewell concert 36 years earlier. It was their first performance together since their 1993 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
