Military Hero

Claire nominated her parents! My parents are my heroes. My dad is a retired senior chief. He served in aviation squadrons and shipboard duties and national staff. He also worked on President Reagan's inaugural parade making sure traffic flowed smoothly and qualified as Surface Warfare Specialist. He has recieved four navy commendation medals, three navy achievement medals and various other service awards. My mom is a retired chief Yeoman who had the privilege of being a model for the 1982 Navy Uniform Regulations (the first time they used live models). My mom worked in recruiting support, aviation squadrons (qualified as Aviation Warfare Specialist), national staffs, personnel offices. She is the recipient of three navy commendation medals, five navy achievement medals and other service awards. My parents both retired from the navy in the 90's and now love to travel the world. I'm very proud of their service!
