Military Hero

Skip was nominated by John Limandri: Skip is my oldest sibling. When I was 2 years old he was on his way to Vietnam. We never lived in the same house to my recollection. Once he came home from Vietnam he continued on too mainstream life as best as possible. We never had a whole lot have a relationship as brothers due to the difference in age and the fact that he went off to war when I was just a baby. I was always aware that he was fighting a war and even though I barely knew him I idolized him. Years go by family things happen and we grew close and we grew far apart and ultimately in our older age have grown extremely close. Skip and I have gone to breakfast every Saturday morning just about for the last 10 years. In those years is told me stories about his experiences in Vietnam that no one in my family probably ever knew except maybe my father having been a war veteran himself. I'm so thankful that he came home from Vietnam and that over the years we have been able to become brothers even though we were never really raised like brothers. It's always been a strange dynamic. But through these years I'm going breakfast and talking, growing old together, and living life I have come to realize that he is a hero to me in so many ways. Because of our age difference my father passed away at an earlier age to me the most people my age, but my brother was able to step in an offer fatherly advice and help me where my father would have had he been here. These are the reasons why I would like for my brother to be an FM 99 military hero.
