Military Hero

Josh was nominated by Amber Craig: Josh is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and server for 10 years. During that time he server as in intelligence/ counterintelligence for 2d Intelligence Battalion, 3rd Battalion 4th Marines and MARSOC. During this time, Josh deployed several times to Afghanistan to provide and collect intelligence on the ground. He was involved in multiple contacts with the enemy and several invidents involving IEDs. From there he moved to the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity where he served as team chief and senior intelligence NCO for the weapons and technology division. There he managed his Marines and provided the intelligence community as a whole with up to date intelligence on various ground, sea and air weapons platforms used throughout the world. Simultaneously, in his off time, Josh trained to be a firefighter and completed certification in Firefighter 1 and 2, HAZMAT, and MAYDAY. He provided support to dozens of fires, vehicular accidents/extrications and medical calls. Spending his evenings at the fire house and going to his Marine duties in the morning really made his family and friends proud. Josh got out in 2018 to spend time with his children and pursue some new avenues. He grew out his veteran beard, started college and spent as much time with his family as possible. He has picked up mountain biking, is sponsored and planning to race in 2020. His disabilities have made it an uphill (literally) battle but he is pushing through it. This June he raised $500 in the Great Cycle Challenge fundraiser for children's cancer research. He own a two veteran owned small businesses, one a competitive gaming community and the other a graphic design business. He religiously listens to FM99 and love the music and entertainment you guys have to offer. In a way, it seems the Rumble in the Morning show is like a throwback to his time in the Corps with the stuff that is discussed. Thanks Josh for all you do!
