Military Hero

Jason was nominated by his wife Andrea Van Winkle: Jason is my husband. He is the proud father of our 2 children. He's currently serving in the Navy, he's got 19 years in so far, and we couldn't be prouder. He's dedicated to serving his country, to supporting his command, and to helping out everyone he can. He deployed with the Carter Hall, and while he was gone from home for 8 months, he made every effort to remind us how much he loves us. He sent home many surprises for us and went above and beyond to let us know we were loved and missed. He is a true hero for his children, he makes an effort to be present in their lives. How he balances the demands of the Navy and the demands of family life is nothing short of magical. He has an infectious spirit that brings delight and smiles to his family and friends. It's impossible to not laugh when he's around. He's made the challenges of military life seem easy with his positive attitude. He's downright exciting and adventurous. He's my hero, and it would be a delight to honor him in this way!
