Heather was nominated by William Collins: Aviation Support Technician 3rd class Heather Ricksgers has become a critical assist to the IM 4 Division of the USS Bush. During her time on board she works to inventory and catalog over 500,000 parts and tools for IM 4 for the upcoming post cruse overhaul in Portsmouth. Over 500 pieces of support equipment, along with all the parts and tools were off loaded and send to M5 for rehab during the USS Bush's overhaul. During the 1st month of the Overhaul period Itself petty officer Ricksgers has induct over 100 items to be corrosion controlled and repainted. IM 4 is ahead of schedule to have every item serviced and repainted before the end of the overhaul period scheduled to be completed march of 2016. Petty officer Ricksgers also continues to work with disabled children but volunteering for fund raisers and running 5K races to raise money and awareness for the children. Petty officer Ricksgers has proven time and time again she is the IM 4 sailor of the year thru hard work and dedication to her country. Petty Officer Ricksgers is what a United States Sailor should be dedicated to her job and the community.
